QGRID LABS 18-Inch Dog Herding Ball, Blue and Orange, Reinforced Shell

QGRID LABS 3.0 2026 Upgrade is an 18-inch (45.72 cm) dog herding ball for chasing and pushing, built with a reinforced dual-layer shell and an upgraded inner bladder.

• Thickened, high-density, tear-resistant outer fabric — made for active chasing and rolling.
• Matte-textured inner bladder — a grippy, puncture-resistant core for energetic play.
• Honeycomb slow-leak design — releases air gradually if punctured; QGRID LABS reports a 200% slower air-leak rate than before.
• 5-piece repair patch kit, high-capacity pump and accessories — supports on-site inflation and minor repairs.
• Blue-and-orange, high-visibility ball — made for active dogs that enjoy herding-style play.

This ball gives dogs that like to chase, nudge and herd a dedicated outlet for energetic play. Its 18-inch size is suited to interactive outdoor activity, while the repair kit and pump let owners handle inflation and minor damage as part of regular use. The toy is for play, not chewing, and dogs should be supervised during playtime.

What makes this ball suited to herding play?

The reinforced outer shell and grippy inner core are designed for pushing, nudging and rolling rather than chewing. The shell uses thickened, high-density, tear-resistant fabric; inside, an industrial-grade matte bladder replaces the smooth PVC used in standard bladders. Its textured surface is designed to improve structural integrity and resist punctures during active play.

• Designed for herding and chasing activity.
• Portable for play in different settings.
• Easy to clean after use.

What happens if the inner bladder is punctured?

The honeycomb structure is designed to release air gradually rather than letting it escape all at once. QGRID LABS reports that the air-leak rate is slowed by 200% compared with the earlier version; the controlled release is intended to reduce sudden deflation during play.

• The gradual release is designed to avoid a sudden burst.
• The bladder is made for the pressure of herding and outdoor play.

What comes with the ball, and how is it inflated?

Each ball comes with a 5-piece professional repair patch kit, a high-capacity pump and accessories. The bladder can safely inflate to 1.5x its original size; a round-looking ball may still be only about 80% inflated, so appearance alone does not indicate that inflation is complete.

• The included patch kit is for quick repairs on-site.
• Inflation and minor repairs can be handled with the included equipment.

Which dogs is the ball designed for?

It is aimed at high-drive dogs with a natural interest in chasing and herding, including Border Collies and Australian Shepherds. The activity is designed to encourage exercise and mental stimulation, and to help relieve boredom.

• Use it for supervised play, not as a chew toy.
• Its blue-and-orange color combination is intended to be easy to see during play.

QGRID LABS 3.0 is suited to owners looking for an interactive herding-style toy for an active dog, with inflation and minor repair supplies included. It is designed for chasing, pushing and rolling under supervision, rather than chewing.
