What does ZuPreem Smart Selects provide for small birds?

ZuPreem Smart Selects combines nutrient-rich pellets, wholesome seeds, and dried fruits as a complete daily food for small companion birds. The formula is fortified with essential vitamins and minerals and is designed to support immunity, healthy feather growth, consistent energy, and optimal body condition. For core nutrition, pellets should make up at least 60% of a bird’s total intake.

The ingredients include canary grass seed, oat groats, millet, safflower, soybean meal, flaxseeds, dried coconut, and dried fruit. Fruit varieties include papaya, pineapple, oranges, apples, grapes, and bananas. This combination adds variety to the pellet-based portion of a bird’s diet.

• Designed for parakeets, budgies, parrotlets, and doves, as well as other small birds with similar dietary needs.
• Recommended by avian caregivers and small bird experts.

How should I serve and transition this food?

Offer ZuPreem Smart Selects in a clean food bowl or tray, with a daily portion of 1–3 tablespoons depending on your bird’s size and activity level. Provide fresh water daily and remove uneaten food before refilling. Birds can peck and nibble the mix, encouraging natural feeding behavior, beak activity, and mental stimulation.

For a bird changing from a seed-only diet, introduce the food gradually over 2–3 weeks by increasing the pellet ratio each week. Fresh vegetables or fruits can be served alongside the food for additional variety and enrichment.

• Use a clean bowl or tray for feeding.
• Adjust the daily amount to your bird’s size and activity.

Where is ZuPreem Smart Selects made, and how should I store it?

ZuPreem Smart Selects is made in the USA using whole grains from North America’s Heartland. Production follows quality standards intended to maintain freshness and nutritional integrity. Store the food in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use; refrigeration is not required.

• Discard uneaten food before adding a fresh serving.
• Keep the bag resealed between feedings.

This two-bag format suits caregivers feeding small companion birds who want pellets, seeds, and dried fruits together in a daily food, including those gradually shifting a bird from seed-only feeding. It is intended for small birds with similar dietary needs, with the daily serving adjusted to the individual bird’s size and activity.
