• Top-opening hinged lid — makes cleaning and checking on chicks easier.
• Built-in entrance perch — gives birds a place to land and access the nest.
• Included mounting hardware — supports installation inside or outside a cage.

Birds need a sheltered nesting space for resting and breeding. This two-box set is made for budgies, lovebirds, cockatiels and other small to medium-sized birds, with a horizontal, right-hanging design for cage setups. Its solid pine construction provides natural insulation, while the interior’s darker environment is designed to encourage natural mating and nesting behavior.

What birds and cage setups are these boxes designed for?

Each box is intended for small to medium-sized birds, including budgies, lovebirds and cockatiels. The horizontal, right-hanging format can be mounted inside or outside a cage, and external mounting can preserve space inside the cage.

• Natural solid pine with a smooth, burr-free surface.
• Wooden entrance perch for easier access.
• Natural wood color; screen settings may affect how the color appears.

How do the entrance and interior support nesting?

A metal rim reinforces the entrance against chewing, and a built-in wooden baffle helps keep eggs from rolling out. The pine wood provides insulation and breathability, and the darker interior is designed to support natural nesting behavior.

• Entrance diameter: 1.96 inches (5 cm).
• Smooth wood helps protect birds from scratches.
• The baffle is part of the box’s interior design.

How do you clean and mount the nest boxes?

The hinged top opens for cleaning, changing substrate and checking on chicks. Bolts, washers and wing nuts are included for mounting inside or outside a cage.

• Open the lid to access the interior.
• For outdoor placement, install the box under shelter to protect it from rain.
• Measurements are taken manually, so slight size variations are possible.

These Ziouabaf nest boxes suit bird keepers who want two pine nesting spaces with access for cleaning and chick checks, plus a reinforced entrance and included cage-mounting hardware. Each box measures 7.87 x 4.72 x 4.72 inches (20 x 12 x 12 cm) and is designed for small to medium-sized birds.
