It suits feeding routines where you want to provide both scratch grains and an opportunity for natural foraging behavior.

What is Small Pet Select Sustainable Chicken Scratch for?

It is a supplemental scratch feed that adds variety and encourages birds to forage, peck and scratch. Scatter it in an area where your birds can search for the grains and seeds; it is intended to accompany their regular feed, rather than serve as the only feed.

• Designed for birds’ natural searching and scratching behaviors.
• Offers a variety of morsels for birds to find.

What grains and seeds are in the blend?

The ingredient base includes Willamette Valley and Pacific Northwest-grown wheat, oats, barley, flax seed, triticale, pumpkin seeds, and green, yellow and maple peas. Depending on seasonal availability, the blend may also include millet, sorghum, milo, wild rice or other locally produced grains, along with vegetable oil.

• Ingredients are sourced locally from the Pacific Northwest.
• Seasonally available grains can vary, including the optional grains named above.

What nutritional levels does the guaranteed analysis provide?

Each guaranteed-analysis value sets a minimum or maximum level: crude protein is at least 12%, crude fat is at least 5.0%, and crude fiber is no more than 7.5%. These figures give you specific nutrient levels to consider when adding scratch to your birds’ feeding routine.

• Crude protein: 12% minimum.
• Crude fat: 5.0% minimum.
• Crude fiber: 7.5% maximum.
