GRETMIX Dog Herding Ball, 18-Inch Dual-Layer Outdoor Toy with Protective Cover

GRETMIX makes an 18-inch, dual-layer herding ball for dogs to chase and move during active play that engages their natural herding instincts.

• No bite area — encourages dogs to move the ball with their shoulders, paws and noses.
• Double-stitched protective cover and zipper — built for chew resistance during play.
• Hand pump included — makes the ball easy to inflate.
• Lightweight and resilient when inflated — designed for low-impact play.
• Made for outdoor play in backyards, farms, parks and open fields.

Dogs with strong herding instincts need an outlet for chasing and moving objects. GRETMIX is made for active play that lets dogs express those behaviors while helping high-energy dogs burn off excess energy. Its large rolling-ball format gives dogs a way to engage with a toy through movement rather than a designated bite grip.

How does the ball encourage herding play?

The ball has no bite area, so dogs can use their shoulders, paws and noses to move and retrieve it. This supports herding-style play such as chasing and guiding the ball, rather than chewing on a handle or grip point. It is designed for dogs of all ages and sizes to practice natural herding behaviors.

• Play can involve chasing, herding and retrieving.
• Suitable for energetic breeds such as Australian Shepherds and Collies.

What is the protective cover made to do?

The cover has double-stitched construction and a sturdy zipper, with chew resistance built into its design. When inflated, the ball is lightweight and resilient, and its two protective layers make play low impact. The ball is not intended to be bitten or chewed, so its design is for dogs to push and move it during play.

• Can also be used as a dog’s joy ball or a polo ball.
• Made for training large, energetic breeds.

What size is it, and where is it intended for play?

The ball measures 18 inches (45.72 cm) in diameter and is designed for dogs of different breeds and sizes. Its size suits outdoor play in open spaces, including backyards, farms, parks and fields. The included hand pump makes inflation straightforward, so the ball can be prepared for a session of chasing and herding.

• Designed for use by dogs of all ages.
• Inflate before play; it is lightweight and resilient when inflated.

GRETMIX suits dog owners looking for an outdoor activity for an energetic dog that enjoys chasing and guiding a ball, especially herding breeds such as Australian Shepherds, Cattle Dogs and Border Collies. It is a movement-based herding toy, not a ball for biting or chewing.
