Horses that stop, turn, and accelerate put their lower legs through active movement during training and competition. The Legacy2 hind boots are made to provide support and impact protection while allowing the horse to move naturally through those maneuvers.

How does the Legacy2 support and protect the hind legs?

The patented Cradle Fetlock System is designed around the natural anatomy of the horse’s tendons and ligaments, supporting the suspensory apparatus in the lower legs. The boot is also specifically designed to help protect against crossfire injuries, which can occur when a horse’s legs strike one another during movement. Its construction is intended for use through intense maneuvers in training or competition.

• Focuses support on the fetlock and lower-leg area.
• Made for hind-leg use.

What protection does the splint pad provide?

A shock-absorbing splint pad is built into the Legacy2 boot to help protect the splint bone and surrounding soft tissue. This added protection is intended for active riding situations where the horse is stopping, turning, or accelerating.

• Pad targets the splint bone and nearby soft tissue.
• Shock absorption is part of the boot’s protective design.

Does the Legacy2 allow natural movement?

Yes. The Legacy2 is designed to support the suspensory apparatus without restricting the horse’s natural movement, making it suitable for horses that change pace and direction during training or competition. The support system works with the horse’s movement rather than being designed to hold the leg rigid.

• Designed for natural flexibility during movement.
• Intended for maneuvers that involve stopping, turning, and accelerating.
