How does the Cat Mate 360 control which pets can enter?

The Cat Mate 360 opens for a cat’s compatible identification microchip or a Cat Mate ID Disc, available separately. It works with common 15-digit ISO microchips and does not require a separate collar key when your cat has a supported microchip. Microchips with 10 digits or letters are not compatible.

To register an identification, press the programming button; an LED flashes to indicate that the microchip or ID Disc has been registered. The system supports up to 30 cats, so several pets in one household can have access.

What opening and installation space does it need?
