BRONZEDOG Pitbull Basket Muzzle for Large Dogs, Brown, Adjustable with Padded Nose

The BRONZEDOG Pitbull Wire Basket Muzzle is a steel muzzle for large dogs, designed to help prevent biting or eating unwanted items while allowing panting and drinking; it has four adjustable leather straps and a padded nose.

• Lightweight steel basket construction — provides an open muzzle design for walks, training, grooming, and vet visits.
• Neoprene padding over the nose — adds a soft contact point where the muzzle rests.
• Four adjustable leather straps — secure the muzzle over the dog’s head.
• Basket shape — allows panting, drinking, nose licking, and accepting small treats.
• Fit references: 12 inches (30.48 cm) and 13 inches (33.02 cm) snout girth; 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) snout length — compare your dog’s measurements before choosing.

For situations where a temporary safety measure is needed, this muzzle covers the snout while leaving space for everyday actions such as panting and drinking. Its open construction is intended for use during activities including walks, training, grooming, and veterinary visits. A muzzle should not be used as punishment; introduce it gradually and positively so your dog can become familiar with wearing it.

What can a dog do while wearing this basket muzzle?

The basket shape allows a dog to pant, drink water, lick their nose, and accept small treats. The muzzle is designed to help prevent biting or eating things the dog should not, while its open structure provides ventilation.

• Suitable for temporary use during walks, training, grooming, or vet visits.
• Allows panting, including in warm conditions.

How do I check whether the muzzle will fit?

Measure your dog’s snout and compare it with the fit references: the listing gives a girth of 12 inches (30.48 cm) in one place and 13 inches (33.02 cm) in another; both give a snout length of 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm). Because the girth figures differ, use the measurements carefully when assessing fit. The product also references a video with measuring tips.

• Measure snout girth and length before selecting.
• Choose a fit that allows comfortable panting and drinking.

What is the muzzle made of, and how is it secured?

The muzzle uses lightweight steel in a basket construction, with neoprene padding over the nose and four adjustable leather straps to hold it in place over the dog’s head. Compared with nylon printed muzzles, this metal construction is described as more secure and longer lasting.

• Color options named are Brown, Light brown, Pink, and Gray.
• The product title identifies this version as Brown.

Introduce the muzzle gradually and positively; a dog that has not learned to wear one may try to pull it off, and repeated attempts can allow a dog to escape any muzzle. This BRONZEDOG muzzle is intended as a temporary safety measure, not as punishment. It suits large dogs whose snout measurements match the fit references and whose owners need an open basket design for supervised activities; its steel basket, nose padding, and adjustable straps define its construction.
