This hanging feeder is made for people who want to offer food in an accessible tray rather than a closed feeder. Its shallow, screened design accommodates a variety of food options, while the hanging format places the tray outdoors for visiting birds. The compact size makes it suitable for a smaller feeding area; compare the stated length, width, and height with the space where you plan to hang it.

What kind of food can the Birds Choice hanging tray feeder hold?

The feeder can be used with a variety of food options. Its shallow frame and screened bottom create an open surface for food, rather than an enclosed feeding compartment. Steel hanging rods collapse, allowing the tray to be stored in a more compact form when it is not in use.

• Open tray format for accessible feeding.
• Collapsible rods are part of the hanging design.

Which birds may visit this platform feeder?

Birds Choice identifies a range of backyard birds that this feeder typically attracts, including small songbirds and larger visitors such as doves and woodpeckers. The tray format lets birds approach the food from above without needing to enter a covered feeder.

• Examples include cardinals, chickadees, and sparrows.
• Other listed visitors include jays, towhees, and grosbeaks.

What materials and hardware come with the feeder?

The tray is made from recycled poly lumber, and the hanging rod is steel. The design is intended to resist cracking, splitting, and fading. Aluminum hinges are rust-resistant, and stainless-steel screws are included for the feeder’s assembly.
