• Slow-cooked and gently vacuum-dried in small batches — a preparation approach designed to help protect nutrients and fresh taste.
• Long-lasting energy formulation — made to support focus and activity throughout the day.
• Made in the USA by a family-founded company established in 1947 — backed by a long-running American manufacturing heritage.

Dogs involved in agility, field work and other sustained activity have different nutritional demands from less active dogs. Bil-Jac 30/20 Performance is made for dogs with high energy needs, pairing a chicken-based recipe with a protein-and-fat ratio formulated for active work. Its preparation method and ingredient sourcing are part of how the food is designed to deliver concentrated nutrition in a dry format.

What kind of activity is Bil-Jac 30/20 Performance made for?

Bil-Jac 30/20 Performance is formulated for high-drive dogs doing activities such as agility, field work and endurance exercise. The recipe is designed to provide sustained energy and support muscle recovery after exertion. Its long-lasting-energy formulation is intended to help dogs stay focused and active through the day, addressing the energy drop the brand associates with grain-heavy foods.

• The 30/20 ratio is the defining nutritional feature for dogs with demanding activity levels.
• The formula is designed to support rapid muscle recovery as part of active-dog nutrition.
• Bil-Jac identifies professional handlers, K9 units and breeders among the dog-care communities that have used its foods over generations.

How is the chicken prepared?

Bil-Jac prepares the fresh chicken slowly, then gently vacuum-dries the food. The company makes it in small batches at its own facility, using a process intended to help preserve key nutrients and the chicken’s fresh taste. The method is called Nutri-Lock; the brand says it helps preserve amino acids including arginine and methionine, which are important to muscle repair.

• The chicken is locally sourced.
• The recipe uses animal protein described by the brand as bioavailable for active muscles.
• Slow cooking is the preparation method associated with preserving the named amino acids.

How much chicken is in the 6 lb bag?

Each 6 lb bag is made with 5 lb of fresh, real chicken. That quantity makes chicken the central ingredient focus of this performance formula, which is designed to provide dense animal protein for active dogs. The bag is a dry dog food format for owners choosing food around their dog’s activity needs.

• Product type: dry dog food.
• Named protein source: fresh chicken.
• Bag size: 6 lb.

Bil-Jac was family-founded by a World War II veteran and has made dog food in the United States since 1947. For more than seven decades, the company has focused on combining food preparation methods with nutrition for dogs’ well-being. This 30/20 recipe is best suited to owners feeding active, high-drive dogs whose routines include sustained work or exercise; its protein-and-fat formulation and chicken-focused recipe are built around those activity needs.
