Amazon Basics 22-Inch Wire Dog Crate, Black, Foldable with Divider and Removable Tray

Amazon Basics makes this 22-inch (56 cm) metal-wire dog crate for containing small dogs, with a single door and a fold-flat design for travel or storage.

• Manual door lock — keeps the door secured when closed.
• Adjustable divider panel — lets you change the crate’s interior space.
• Removable plastic base tray — lifts out for cleaning.
• Bottom metal hook — helps keep the installed tray from sliding out.
• Top carrying handle — makes the folded crate easier to carry.

This crate provides an enclosed space for a small dog at home or while travelling. Its collapsible frame is made to fold flat between uses, while the divider lets you adjust the available interior space. Before choosing a size, compare your dog’s measurements with the crate’s dimensions and allow room for comfortable movement.

What size dog fits this 22-inch crate?

The crate is intended for pets under 18 x 11.5 inches (46 x 29.2 cm, length x height), including small breeds such as Toy Poodles and Yorkshire Terriers. Its outside dimensions are 22 x 13 x 16 inches (56 x 33 x 41 cm, length x width x height). Your dog should be able to stand up and turn around comfortably inside.

To check the fit, measure your dog from nose to the base of the tail while standing, and from the top of the head to the floor. Add 4 inches (10 cm) to both measurements when confirming the crate’s length and height. Read all safety instructions before use.

• Compare your dog’s length and height with the crate’s interior needs before choosing.
• The 18 x 11.5-inch pet limit is given as length x height.

How does the crate fold and adjust?

The metal-wire crate sets up quickly and folds flat for transport or compact storage. A divider panel adjusts the interior space, and the single door uses a manual locking mechanism. The metal-wire construction is designed for secure containment.

• Use the top handle to carry the folded crate.
• Close the door and engage its manual lock for containment.

How do the tray and hook work?

The removable plastic base tray can be taken out for cleaning. A metal hook at the bottom of the crate helps prevent the tray from moving out of position once installed.

• After installing the tray, lock the hook securely every time as part of daily use.
• The tray is removable, so it can be accessed separately for cleaning.

This crate is suited to owners of small dogs who want a fold-flat enclosure with an adjustable interior and a removable cleaning tray. Its stated pet-size limit, divider panel and carrying handle make it a practical fit for compact containment at home or during travel.
