Wildfang Large Leather Dog Toy Bone for Gentle Chewers, 5 mm Thick

Wildfang Large Leather Dog Toy is a 5 mm thick oiled-leather bone for calm chewing by dogs over 33 lbs, including gentle chewers with sensitive teeth.

• EU-certified cowhide — gives dogs a natural leather surface to chew.
• Vegetable tanning with plant extracts and a hand-finish of olive oil and natural fats — keeps the toy’s construction focused on leather and plant-based finishing ingredients.
• No plastics, toxins, or chemicals — an alternative to synthetic chew toys.
• Stuffing-free and without a squeaker — provides a simple chew without filling or a sound component.
• Made for gentle chewing — suits calm teething puppies, senior dogs, and light to moderate chewers.
• Available in three sizes — makes it possible to choose a bone that suits a dog’s weight and grip.

Dogs need an appropriate outlet for natural chewing, and a calm chew can also offer mental engagement during quiet time. Wildfang’s leather bone is intended for dogs that chew gently and can be redirected when asked. Its use is supervised, so an owner can watch how the dog handles the toy and remove it if pieces loosen or damage occurs.

Which dogs is the Wildfang leather bone made for?

It is designed for calm puppies that are teething, older dogs, and gentle chewers with sensitive teeth or gums. Gentle chewing supports oral care, while the activity provides mental stimulation and may help reduce stress and boredom. The toy is intended for low-intensity chewing rather than powerful or destructive biting.

• Suitable for light to moderate chewers that do not bite off and swallow pieces.
• Best for dogs that respond to a correction, such as releasing an item when asked.
• Not recommended for aggressive, destructive, or extreme chewers, or dogs that quickly destroy toys or gulp objects.

What size is right for my dog?

The Large bone is for gentle chewers over 33 lbs; the full range also includes Small for dogs up to 10 kg / 22 lbs and Medium for dogs from 10–15 kg / 22–33 lbs. Choose a size your dog can grip comfortably without taking the toy fully into its mouth.

Large is intended for gentle-chewing dogs over 33 lbs, with Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and Boxers among the example breeds. A dog’s chewing style matters alongside its size: this bone is for calm, low-intensity use, not destructive chewing.

• Small: up to 10 kg / 22 lbs.
• Medium: 10–15 kg / 22–33 lbs.
• Large: over 33 lbs.

How should the leather chew toy be used?

Use the bone only while supervising your dog, and provide fresh drinking water. Check the leather regularly, remove any loose or chewed-off pieces, and stop use if the toy is damaged. Natural leather is non-toxic, but it is not digestible if swallowed in larger quantities.

Choose this chew only for a dog that handles it calmly and does not swallow pieces. If your dog bites off and swallows parts, or tends to gulp objects, this toy is not a suitable choice for that dog. Supervision helps you notice changes in the leather and respond promptly.

• Keep the dog supervised throughout use.
• Inspect the bone regularly and remove loose pieces.
• Discontinue use if the toy becomes damaged.
• Keep fresh drinking water available.

What is the leather bone made from?

The toy is made from EU-certified cowhide that is vegetable-tanned with plant extracts, then hand-finished with olive oil and natural fats. It contains no stuffing or squeaker, and its listed materials exclude plastics, toxins, and chemicals. The leather construction offers a natural-material alternative to synthetic chew toys.

Wildfang is a pack of one. Its bone shape and leather surface provide a straightforward chew for dogs that prefer a calm activity rather than a toy for vigorous play.

This bone is best suited to owners looking for a supervised, low-intensity chew for a gentle puppy, an older dog, or another dog with sensitive teeth. Its 5 mm oiled leather construction and sizing for dogs over 33 lbs make the Large version a fit for bigger dogs that chew calmly.
