Rain can make outdoor walks less comfortable for dogs and their people. This jacket combines a waterproof outer layer with a breathable mesh interior, plus design details for leash access, carrying small essentials and packing the coat away. Use the size guide to match your dog’s back length and torso circumference to a listed size.

What features make this jacket suited to rainy walks?

The Wilderdog Dog Jacket pairs a waterproof exterior rated at 2,000 mm with a breathable mesh interior. Its drawstring hood can be removed, and a hole at the top lets a leash pass through for use with either a collar or harness.

• The back pocket can carry poop bags, snacks or similar small items.
• The jacket folds into that same pocket for carrying.

How do I choose a size for my dog?

Measure your dog’s back length, excluding the hood, and torso circumference, then compare both measurements with the size ranges below. Choose a size whose back length and torso range fit your dog.

• Small: 14 in (35.6 cm) back length; 18–24 in (45.7–61 cm) torso.
• Medium: 17 in (43.2 cm) back length; 20–29 in (50.8–73.7 cm) torso.
• Large: 21 in (53.3 cm) back length; 21–39 in (53.3–99.1 cm) torso.

Back length measurements exclude the hood. The two measurements together help you compare your dog’s proportions with the available size ranges.

How does the jacket secure and pack away?

Heavy-duty hook-and-loop closures secure the jacket, while an elastic strap keeper holds excess torso strap. Reflective tape trim is incorporated into the design. For storage, fold the jacket into its back pocket; two hanging loops provide options for hanging it while folded in the pocket or hanging it out of the pocket.

• One hanging loop is for the jacket folded into its pocket.
• The other loop is for hanging the jacket out of the pocket.

The Wilderdog Dog Jacket is suited to dog owners looking for a raincoat with leash access, a removable hood and a pocket that also stores the folded coat. It is a practical fit for dogs whose back length and torso circumference fall within the Small, Medium or Large ranges above.
