Loose fur, tangles and undercoat can make regular brushing a challenge for both pets and their people. This slicker brush is made for grooming cats and dogs at home, and its small-pet sizing also suits targeted brushing on larger pets. Use it to work through the coat gently, rather than rushing through knots or brushing against the direction of the fur.

What does this slicker brush help with?

The brush helps detangle knots, remove loose hair and lift undercoat. Its stainless steel bristles have a protective safety coating, and the coated tips are designed to be gentle on skin and help prevent scratching. The flexible cushion pad adds comfort for the pet during brushing.

• Work through the coat to detangle, remove undercoat and style.
• Brush in the direction the fur grows.

Which pets and coat areas is it suited to?

It is intended for indoor cats and dogs weighing up to 29 lbs (13.2 kg), and can be used on the face, ears and paws of larger cats and dogs. Its small-pet format is also suitable for short- and long-haired coats.

• For long-haired pets, begin with the outer layers and slowly work toward the roots as the coat detangles.
• Use a gentle pace to keep brushing comfortable for your pet.

How do you use and clean the brush?

Start with a coat free of loose debris, then section the fur and brush gently from the roots in the direction of growth. For a long coat, detangle the outer layers first and gradually work closer to the roots.

• To remove fur, gently pull it out in the direction of the bristles.
• Wash with soap and lukewarm water, rinse, and leave the brush out to dry.
• Store it with the bristle side facing up to help protect the pins from damage.

The ergonomic handle has built-in grips for a comfortable hold, and its material is designed to remain non-gummy over time. This brush is a practical fit for pet parents grooming smaller indoor cats and dogs, or tending to the face, ears and paws of a larger pet. Its coated bristles, flexible cushion and clear brushing and care steps make it suited to regular coat grooming at home.
