THE KOZKO HUT Wooden Guinea Pig Hideout, Dual-Entry Corner House with Pee Pad

THE KOZKO HUT Wooden Guinea Pig Corner Hideout is a fully assembled retreat for guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, and hedgehogs, made from untreated fir wood and fitted with two entrances.

• Untreated fir wood joined with pet-friendly glue — gives small pets a chew-friendly place to rest and hide.
• Fully assembled, with no screws or assembly steps — ready to place in your pet’s habitat.
• Two entrances and a 11.8 x 11.8 x 5.9 in (30 x 30 x 15 cm) footprint — provide a shared hideaway with two ways in and out.
• Included absorbent, leak-proof pee pad — wicks moisture away and helps keep the resting area dry.
• Roof that can serve as a lookout spot — adds another place to perch or relax.

Small pets need somewhere to retreat from the activity around them, while their caregivers need a hideout that is easy to place and clean. This wooden corner house combines a covered hiding space with a rooftop perch, two entrances, and a supplied pee pad for everyday use in a small-animal habitat.

Which pets is this wooden hideout made for?

THE KOZKO HUT hideout is designed for guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, and hedgehogs. Its dual-entry layout gives pets more than one way to enter or leave, which can help reduce squabbles when small animals share the space. The two openings also allow airflow through the hideout.

• Both entrances and the edges are sanded to remove sharp edges and splinters.
• The corner-style shape provides a hideaway while using the habitat’s corner space.
• Natural fir may vary in color, grain, and texture; each house has its own wood appearance.

What size is the hideout, and will my pet fit through the entrance?

The hideout measures 11.8 in long x 11.8 in wide x 5.9 in high (30 x 30 x 15 cm), with an entrance measuring 5.1 x 5.1 in (13 x 13 cm). Compare those measurements with your pet and the available space in its habitat when choosing a location.

The house arrives fully assembled, so there are no screws, loose parts, or assembly steps. Its low, baseless design gives pets a sheltered space, and the roof can also be used as a lookout perch. A cushion or fleece liner can be placed on the roof to make a resting spot.

• The package contains one assembled wooden hideout and one pee pad.
• The rooftop offers an additional place to perch or rest.
• The footprint is 11.8 x 11.8 in (30 x 30 cm).

What is the wood made of, and can pets chew it?

THE KOZKO HUT is made from 100% natural, untreated fir wood, joined with pet-friendly glue instead of metal staples. The wood has no added coatings or chemicals and is selected to be chew-friendly, so normal nibbling can take place as pets wear down their continually growing teeth.

Fir is water-resistant and known for its durability, and the hideout is designed to provide a stable retreat. The natural wood can show variations in color, grain, and texture. If you want to help preserve the wood, the care suggestion is to apply a pet-safe sealant, such as natural beeswax glaze. To help preserve the house’s original appearance, provide unlimited fresh hay or chew-safe toys for nibbling.

• Untreated fir is the hideout’s only stated wood material.
• Pet-friendly glue replaces metal staples in the construction.
• Optional care suggestion: use a pet-safe sealant such as natural beeswax glaze.

How does the pee pad help with cleanup?

The supplied pee pad is an absorbent, leak-proof liner designed to wick moisture away from the hideout and dry quickly. Place it beneath the house to help keep the resting area dry; replace it when it becomes damp or starts to smell.

The hideout’s baseless design makes it easier to clean around and provides space for the pad beneath the wooden shelter. The pad is included with the assembled house, so the set contains both the hideout and its moisture-wicking liner.

• One pee pad is included.
• The liner is described as absorbent, leak-proof, and quick-drying.
• Replace the pad when damp or when it begins to smell.

This hideout suits caregivers looking for an assembled wooden shelter for guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, or hedgehogs, with two entrances and a pee pad for routine habitat use. It also offers a roof perch for pets that like to explore beyond their covered resting space. Its untreated fir construction, compact corner footprint, and included liner make it a ready-to-place hideaway with a defined size and entrance opening.
