Changing weather can make walks uncomfortable for dogs, especially when rain and wind arrive together. The Sun Shower is made for outdoor outings in wet conditions, with coverage and adjustment features designed to help the coat stay in place. This version is Earth Brown in size Small; use Ruffwear’s sizing chart to compare the coat size with your dog’s measurements.

How does the Sun Shower protect a dog from rain and wind?

The coat uses lightweight, seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop fabric to block rain and wind and help keep dogs dry and comfortable. Its shell is designed for unpredictable weather, while the longer vest-style shape extends protection over the hips and thighs. The oversized storm collar adds coverage around the neck.

• Weatherproof shell for rainy conditions.
• Longer cut reaches over the hips and thighs.
• Oversized collar provides additional coverage.

How does the coat stay in place during walks?

Adjustable leg loops and a hem cinch let you customize the fit, while side-release buckles make the coat easier to put on and take off. These details support a more secure fit as your dog moves; compare your dog’s measurements with Ruffwear’s sizing chart to choose a size.

• Side-release buckles for on-and-off access.
• Adjustable leg loops help hold the coat in place in gusty weather.
• Hem cinch adjusts the fit for active movement.

Can the Sun Shower be worn over a harness?

Yes, the back leash portal lets the coat go over most harnesses while preserving leash access. This makes it possible to use a harness with the raincoat on, without giving up the coat’s coverage. The portal is on the back of the garment.

• Rear portal provides leash access through the coat.
• Designed to accommodate most harnesses.

What visibility and packability features does it have?

The lightweight design is easy to store, and reflective trim adds a visibility feature for early-morning or evening outings. An integrated light loop is made for Ruffwear’s Beacon Light, which is sold separately.

• Earth Brown color.
• Integrated loop fits the Beacon Light attachment.
• Beacon Light is not included and is sold separately.

The Ruffwear Sun Shower in Small suits dog owners looking for a lightweight raincoat with extended body coverage, harness access, and adjustable fit features for wet-weather walks. Its seam-sealed ripstop shell, longer cut, and leash portal make it a practical choice for outings in rain and wind.
