Ruffwear Gnawt-a-Stick is a durable floating dog toy for fetch on land and in water, made with natural latex rubber and a buoyant foam core.

• Buoyant foam core — helps the toy stay afloat during water fetch.
• Irregular, driftwood-inspired shape — creates an unpredictable bounce on land.
• Long stick-inspired form — gives dogs an easy shape to grab without cuts or splinters from found sticks.
• Natural latex rubber — provides a softer-feeling surface for carrying in the mouth.
• Top-rack dishwasher safe — makes cleanup after play straightforward.
• Glacial Blue color — gives the toy its distinctive blue appearance.

Gnawt-a-Stick is made for dogs who enjoy fetching and carrying stick-shaped toys, including play that moves between land and water. Its shape brings a different bounce to throws on land, while its floating design suits fetch at shorelines, lakes, rivers, and other waterways. The stick-inspired form offers an alternative to picking up a branch outdoors, without the cuts and splinters associated with foraged sticks.

How does Gnawt-a-Stick work for fetch on land and in water?

Its irregular shape bounces unpredictably on land, and its buoyant foam core helps it float during water fetch. The shape draws inspiration from driftwood along the Oregon coast, giving land throws a less predictable movement than a regular stick-shaped toy. For water play, the floating core keeps the toy on the surface for dogs to retrieve.

• Designed for interactive fetch on land and in water.
• Suitable settings include shorelines, lakes, rivers, and other waterways.

Is the stick-shaped toy easy for dogs to carry?

Gnawt-a-Stick has a long, stick-inspired shape that dogs can readily grab, with natural latex rubber for a softer feel in the mouth. Unlike a foraged branch, the toy does not leave cuts or splinters during play. Its form is intended for dogs drawn to carrying and retrieving sticks.

• Inspired by coastal driftwood rather than a straight, uniform stick.
• Made with natural latex rubber.

How do you clean Ruffwear Gnawt-a-Stick?

Place the toy on the top rack of the dishwasher for cleaning. This care option suits cleanup after muddy shoreline runs, sandy beach throws, or slobbery backyard fetch, so the toy can be cleaned between play sessions.

• Dishwasher safe on the top rack.
• Made for play that can involve mud, sand, and slobber.

Ruffwear Gnawt-a-Stick suits dogs who enjoy fetch, stick-shaped toys, and play that can include water as well as land. It is especially relevant for owners seeking a floating fetch toy with a grab-friendly shape and a dishwasher-safe care option. Its natural latex rubber, buoyant foam core, and driftwood-inspired form bring those features together in one dog toy.
