• Examples of suitable small breeds include Frenchies, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Pomeranians, Pugs, Dachshunds, and Maltese.
• The recipe is chicken-free and grain-free.
• The package contains 6 lb (2.72 kg) of dry dog food.

What proteins and ingredients are in the recipe?

Real poultry and fish lead the recipe, which features fresh de-boned turkey, salmon, and duck in a multi-animal protein blend. These proteins provide a highly digestible source of nutrition to support healthy muscle maintenance, and the varied blend is made for dogs that can be selective about food.

The recipe is made with minimal processing and wholesome ingredients sourced from suppliers. It contains no meat meals or by-products, and no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. It is also made without corn, soy, or wheat, in addition to being grain-free and gluten-free. Now Fresh makes this recipe in Canada.

• Parsley and peppermint are included to help freshen breath.
• Fruits and vegetables provide antioxidants and essential nutrients to help maintain immune function.
• Real meat, poultry, and fish are used in place of meat meals.

How does the food support digestion and weight management?

Probiotics, fiber-rich pumpkin, and sweet potato are included to support healthy digestion, including stool quality. The recipe also uses moderate protein and fat to support weight control, with L-carnitine to support healthy fat metabolism in older dogs.

• Probiotics are part of the digestive-support blend.
• Pumpkin and sweet potato contribute fiber.
• L-carnitine is included for fat-metabolism support.

What supports mobility, and is the kibble easy to chew?

Glucosamine and chondroitin are added to support healthy hips and joints and encourage normal cartilage repair. The kibble is small for easier chewing by small-breed dogs, making the format suited to little mouths.

• Joint-support ingredients: glucosamine and chondroitin.
• Kibble size is tailored to small dogs.
• The recipe is formulated by pet nutrition experts.

This recipe is suited to people feeding a senior small- or toy-breed dog who want a chicken-free dry food with small kibble and targeted support for digestion, weight management, and joints. Its small-breed format and senior-focused recipe make it a fit for older little dogs rather than a general-purpose food for every life stage and size.
