Keeping a water bottle accessible while limiting the need to handle or remove it can make routine cage refills more straightforward. Its top-fill design, cage mounting features and ball-tip valve bring the main parts of daily watering together in one bottle.

Which pets is the Lixit bottle made for?

The Lixit Top Fill No-Drip Water Bottle is intended for rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas and other small animals. It is also suitable for small dogs. The recommended animals specifically include guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, mice and other small animals, with small dogs also named as an option.

• Use it for the small-animal types named for this bottle.
• Small dogs are included among the stated uses.

How do you refill the bottle without removing it?

Open the flip-top lid and pour water into the bottle from the top. The quick-fill opening lets you refill it while it remains mounted to the cage, rather than taking the bottle off for each refill.

• Access the fill opening at the top of the bottle.
• Close the lid after adding water.

How does the bottle attach to a cage or crate?

The bottle’s flat sides allow it to be mounted inside or outside a crate, and its clamp can be fitted in either of two positions for height adjustment. A heavy-duty spring helps hold the flat mounting surface securely against a pet’s cage.

• Choose an inside or outside crate position.
• Use one of the two clamp positions to adjust the mounting height.

What valve and drinking tube does it use?

The bottle uses Lixit’s patented ball-tip no-drip valve and an American-made stainless steel tube. Water is accessed through the tube, while the ball-tip valve is the bottle’s stated no-drip feature.

• Ball-tip valve design.
• Stainless steel drinking tube made in the USA.

This bottle suits small-animal owners who want a cage-mounted water source that can be refilled from the top without taking it down. Its 32 oz capacity, adjustable two-position clamp and top-fill lid make it suited to routine watering in cages and crates.
