LAIRIES Expandable Cat Carrier Backpack, Blue with Bubble Window and Mesh Back Extension

LAIRIES is an expandable cat carrier backpack for carrying cats and small puppies, with a hard bubble window and a breathable mesh back extension that also opens into a resting space.

• Fits pets up to 16 lb (7.3 kg) — sized for cats and small puppies within the stated weight limit.
• Weighs about 3 lb (1.4 kg) — the backpack itself has a stated weight of around three pounds.
• Nine ventilation holes and a side access window — provide airflow and an additional way for a pet to get in and out.
• Bubble dome and honeycomb covers included — offer two cover styles for the front window.
• Padded shoulder straps, chest buckle, and leash clip — give you several included features for carrying and securing your pet.

For travel, walks, and other outings, this carrier keeps a cat or small puppy close while giving the pet a defined enclosed space. Its front bubble window and expandable rear section serve different needs: the hard front provides a more enclosed view for shy pets, while the mesh extension creates extra room for resting.

How does the expandable section work?

The back extension opens to create a breathable mesh resting area, so the backpack can be used either as a carrier or as a pet bed with the rear expanded. The hard bubble at the front provides a more enclosed viewing area for pets that prefer added privacy.

• Expandable rear section made of breathable mesh.
• Front hard bubble window.
• Cat-head front design with ears.

How much ventilation and access does it provide?

LAIRIES has nine ventilation holes around the backpack and an extra side access window. These openings support airflow and give you another access point when placing your pet in or taking them out.

• Side window provides additional access.
• Designed for a pet weighing no more than 16 lb (7.3 kg).

Can I carry it for air travel or wear it hands-free?

The carrier is designed to fit under the seat on most airlines, but airline requirements vary, so confirm your airline’s rules before traveling. You can wear it on your back or carry it at the front of your chest, where your pet can see what is ahead.

• Padded shoulder straps for backpack carrying.
• Extra chest buckle to help secure the backpack during hikes.
• Safety leash with a clip to attach to a harness.

The included removable hard-base support mat provides a supportive base inside the carrier. The bubble and honeycomb window covers are also included, giving you a choice of front cover styles. For a correct fit, keep your pet within the 16 lb (7.3 kg) limit and check airline requirements if you plan to use it under an aircraft seat. This LAIRIES backpack suits cat and small-puppy owners looking for a wearable carrier that can expand into a mesh resting space, rather than a carrier for pets above its stated weight limit.
