Cold weather can call for extra warmth while a dog is out exploring, running or playing. The Expedition Parka is designed for those conditions and for dogs that need additional warmth, including short-haired dogs and dogs without an undercoat. Its adjustable fit points and movement-focused design address two practical needs at once: getting the coat to fit the dog and allowing the dog to move.

Who is the Expedition Parka designed for?

It is designed for all dogs in cold conditions, and is especially beneficial for short-haired dogs and dogs without an undercoat. The coat is intended for small and big adventures when additional warmth is needed. Its cut allows an extended range of motion, so it is designed not to restrict a dog while running and playing.

• Suitable for cold-weather outings where added warmth is needed.
• Designed for active movement as well as time outdoors.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure your dog and use the size chart together with the “Measuring Your Dog” size guide; back length is the most important measurement for apparel. This coat is available in basic sizes from 8–32 in (20.32–81.28 cm), as well as 16XS and 18XS for Dachshunds and 12XL and 14XL for small, bull-type dogs. The neckline, back length and collar circumference are adjustable to help fine-tune the fit. For the BlackBerry 32 in size, compare your dog’s back length with the size guide before choosing.

• Back length is the key measurement to use when selecting apparel size.
• Special sizes include 16XS and 18XS for Dachshunds, and 12XL and 14XL for small, bull-type dogs.
• Adjustable fit points: neckline, back length and collar circumference.

Does the coat support movement and visibility?

Yes. The Expedition Parka is designed to allow an extended range of motion during running and play, and its 3M reflective piping improves visibility in the dark. These features make it suited to active outings in cold conditions when dogs may be moving or out in lower light.

• Movement-focused cut for running and playing.
• Reflective piping for improved visibility in the dark.

The Hurtta Expedition Parka is best suited to dog owners looking for an adjustable winter coat for cold-weather adventures, particularly for a short-haired dog or one without an undercoat. Use the measuring guide to select a size based on back length; the coat is designed for warmth and movement outdoors.
