The enclosure uses 5 mm acrylic fences with an ABS base. The tank is described as lightweight and non-fragile, with greater transparency than glass; the 8.8 in fence is designed to help keep turtles inside the habitat.

How do the basking lamp and water pump work?

The adjustable UVA/UVB basking lamp is designed to provide a warm, sunlight-simulating basking area indoors. Position it 10–15 in (25.4–38.1 cm) from the basking area; the lamp has 2-, 4- and 8-hour settings with automatic shut-off. The product guidance recommends 1–2 hours of sunlight per day for turtles, and the lamp offers a way to provide a basking light indoors.

The adjustable 5W pump sends water through two shower heads, and its flow can be adjusted to suit the amount of water needed. The pump is intended to catch larger debris, provide oxygen and create a shower effect; it does not thoroughly filter the water.

• Use the included 25W and 35W bulbs with the basking lamp.
• Clean the pump weekly: remove the front cover, impeller cover and impeller unit, then brush the cylinder and rinse debris under running water.

How does the two-layer base make water changes easier?

Lift the upper layer so food residue and waste settle into the lower layer, then pour out the waste water and add fresh water. This design lets the turtle and decorations remain in place during the change, rather than draining water slowly through a small hole.

Refresh the water 1–2 times per week, including when the pump is in use. The pump’s debris-catching function does not remove the need for regular water changes.
