Gold Paw Dog Sun Shirt, Ocean Blue Size 16 with UPF 50+ Protection

Gold Paw Sun Shield Tee is a dog sun shirt designed to provide wearable UV protection, with UPF 50+ coverage that blocks 98% of UV rays.

• UPF 50+ protection blocks 98% of UV rays — adds a protective layer for outdoor time.
• UV protection is built into the yarn — stays effective wash after wash.
• Lightweight, breathable fabric — offers a wearable-shade layer for sunny, warm outings.
• Snug four-way stretch fit — helps the shirt stay in place without riding up or crawling.
• Ocean Blue, size 16 — identifies the selected colour and size.

For dogs that need a layer between their skin and the sun, the Sun Shield Tee is made for both indoor and outdoor wear. It also serves dogs needing coverage over sensitive areas, including during torso recovery or hotspot protection. Its stretch jersey construction and close fit make it suitable for active outings and for layering under a harness.

What kind of sun protection does the Sun Shield Tee provide?

The shirt provides UPF 50+ protection, blocking 98% of UV rays. The protection is integrated into the yarn rather than applied as a separate surface treatment, so it remains effective through washing. The lightweight fabric is designed as wearable shade that can help reduce heat absorption in the sun.

• An infrared test found fur beneath the Tee measured over 40 degrees cooler in the sun.
• Wetting the shirt provides an evaporative cooling boost.
• The shirt is made for sunny outings such as hikes and beach days, as well as indoor wear.

Can this dog shirt cover skin during recovery?

Yes, the close-fitting pullover is designed as a comfortable cone alternative for torso recovery and hotspot protection. It forms a gentle barrier over skin concerns, wounds and topical medications, while its soft fabric is intended for dogs with sensitive skin.

• The design supports coverage for torso healing.
• The shirt can help keep a barrier over areas treated with topical medication.

How does the Sun Shield Tee fit, and can it go under a harness?

The Tee uses silky-soft four-way stretch for a snug, stay-put fit, and it layers under a harness without adjustments. Its center chest seam is positioned on the outside to reduce chafing in tender areas. Size 16 is the selected size for this Ocean Blue option.

• The close fit is designed to resist riding up or crawling.
• The outer chest seam avoids placing the seam against tender areas.
• The stretch jersey is made in the USA.

The Gold Paw Sun Shield Tee suits dogs needing a washable UV-protective layer, coverage for sensitive skin, or a garment for torso recovery, and it is especially useful for owners who want a shirt that can be worn under a harness. Its UPF protection is built into the yarn, with a snug four-way-stretch fit for outdoor wear and everyday coverage.
