GOKUL BRANDS AquaClear 110 Aquarium Filter Media Kit with Foam, BioMax and Carbon

GOKUL BRANDS AquaClear 110 HOB maintenance and replacement filter media kit refreshes filtration in the AquaClear 110 Power Filter with five pieces: three media inserts and two mesh bags.

• Foam insert combines mechanical and biological filtration to trap small particles and encourage beneficial microbial growth.
• BioMax media supports beneficial bacteria and is designed to enhance biological filtration efficiency by 30%.
• Activated carbon helps improve water clarity and color while removing odors.
• Foam and carbon media are suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
• Two aquarium media bags hold bio balls, zeolite, ceramic media, rock, crushed coral and other filter media.

This set is for aquarium owners maintaining an AquaClear 110 hang-on-back filter and replacing its media. It brings mechanical, biological and carbon filtration components together, with mesh bags for holding loose filter media.

Which filter does this replacement kit fit?

The inserts are made for the AquaClear 110 Power Filter, a hang-on-back (HOB) filter. The kit contains one AquaClear 110 activated carbon insert, one AquaClear 110 BioMax insert, one AquaClear filter foam insert and two GOKUL BRANDS aquarium filter media bags.

• The kit combines three types of replacement media with two reusable-purpose media bags.
• The bags are made for aquarium filter media, including loose and granular types.

What do the foam, BioMax and carbon media do?

The foam insert traps small particles while its dense structure and broad surface area foster beneficial microbial growth. It combines mechanical and biological filtration without altering the water’s properties. The BioMax insert provides a habitat for beneficial bacteria, helps diminish ammonia and nitrite levels, and enhances biological filtration efficiency by 30%. Activated carbon helps improve water clarity and color and removes odors.

• Replace the foam insert monthly for optimal performance.
• Replace the activated carbon every four weeks for best results.

Can I use this media in freshwater or saltwater?

The foam insert is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, and the activated carbon is suitable for both as well. The carbon media is intended for aquariums up to 110 gallons (416 L), giving aquarium keepers a clear capacity reference when choosing it.

• The 110-gallon capacity applies to the activated carbon media.
• The foam insert maintains water clarity without changing water properties.

What can I put in the two mesh media bags?

The GOKUL BRANDS aquarium filter bags are designed to hold bio balls, zeolite, ceramic media, rock, crushed coral and other aquarium filter media. They let you contain these media within a bag for aquarium filter use.

• Included bag count: two.
• Use the bags with the aquarium filter media you want to contain.

This kit suits aquarium keepers who use an AquaClear 110 Power Filter and want replacement foam, BioMax and activated carbon media together with bags for other filter media. Its inserts are made for the AquaClear 110, and its foam and carbon media accommodate freshwater and saltwater aquarium use.
