Fossa is an interactive dog treat ball designed to make crate time more engaging, with an adjustable hanging rope and a natural, BPA-free rubber body.
Making a crate a more inviting place can be part of puppy training and everyday indoor routines. Fossa gives dogs something to investigate, chew, lick, or nose for food while they spend time in a crate, cage, or kennel. It is also made for supervised backyard play when hung from a tree, so the activity can move beyond crate time.
Hang the ball from a wire crate, cage, or kennel using its adjustable rope, then place food inside to give your dog an activity during confinement. The rope can also be used to suspend it from a tree for outdoor play. For a longer treat activity, the recommended preparation is to fill the ball with wet kibble and freeze it for 1–2 hours, then seal the opening with peanut butter. Adjust the hanging length to position the toy for your dog and setting.
Dogs can chew, lick, or nose around the ball to work toward the treats. Its challenge claim contrasts 91.7% of dogs that use those direct approaches with 8.3% that use the rope to swing or toss the ball, releasing food when it drops to the floor. This gives dogs more than one way to explore the treat-feeding puzzle, from licking at the opening to experimenting with movement.
The ball is made from natural BPA-free rubber and is intended to hold up to medium and large aggressive chewers. A small air vent is designed to help prevent a dog’s tongue from getting stuck, while ridges around the opening are included to help clean teeth during chewing. The toy is easy to clean after use; no particular cleaning method is specified here.
Fossa suits dog owners making crate training more interactive, as well as people looking for a hanging food puzzle for supervised indoor or backyard play. The included Pup Toy 101 e-book is a bonus, and the manufacturer provides a Fun or Refund Guarantee plus a one-year replacement warranty. It is intended for medium to large aggressive chewers and offers treat-based enrichment through a hanging rubber ball.
