Ferrochef Cork Terrarium Background, 4 Pack 11.6-Inch Bark Climbing Panels

Ferrochef 4 Pack Cork Terrarium Background is a natural cork backdrop and climbing mat for reptile and amphibian habitats, with four 11.6 x 7.7 inch (29.5 x 19.6 cm) panels that are each 9.5 mm thick.

• Made in Portugal — adds cork panels produced at their source country.
• Natural cork with no extra additives — keeps the panel material simple for enclosed habitats.
• Carbonized micropore structure — allows breathability while helping control growth.
• Two uses in one panel — creates a terrarium background and a textured climbing surface.
• Panels can be cut and spliced — lets you adapt the layout to common terrarium and aquarium designs.

These panels are made for keepers who want to add a natural-looking surface to an enclosed habitat while giving climbing reptiles a textured area to use. Their bark-like appearance creates ecological scenery inside the enclosure, and the panels can be arranged to suit different layouts. The set is designed for everyday reptile and amphibian habitats, including setups for several types of climbing or ground-dwelling pets.

What does the cork background add to a habitat?

It provides both a natural-looking backdrop and a climbing surface. The realistic bark texture changes the viewing appearance of the enclosure and is designed to simulate a wild habitat, which may help reduce anxious reactions in pets. The textured face also supports climbing activity and daily exercise within the enclosed space. The dual-purpose design means the same panel serves as scenery and a usable surface rather than decoration alone.

• Dark brown color gives the panels a bark-inspired appearance.
• The textured surface is made for reptile climbing habits.
• Suitable for habitat layouts for geckos, lizards, bearded dragons, spiders, snakes and tortoises.

What is the cork made of, and how does its structure work?

Each mat is made from natural cork with a breathable micropore structure. Its carbonized structure helps control growth while maintaining a breathable, moist environment for daily habitat use. The raw cork contains no extra additives, and its self-healing structure helps the panel stay complete after repeated use. Dense cork is also intended to resist deformation and wear, making it suited to ongoing use as a decorative and climbing accessory.

Can the panels be arranged for a particular habitat?

Yes. The four-piece set can be cut and spliced to fit common terrarium and aquarium layout styles. Compare the panel size with your enclosure and planned coverage before arranging the pieces; manual measurement can result in slight size variation. The panels are dark brown, though their appearance may vary slightly between screens. The listed pet uses include reptiles and amphibians such as geckos, lizards, bearded dragons, spiders, snakes and tortoises.

• Four cork panels are included in the set.
• Cutting and splicing allow different layout arrangements.
