Dewonch Leather Bite Tug Dog Training Toy, Squeaky Stuffless with Handle

The Dewonch stuffless squeaky leather bite tug is an interactive dog-training toy for building bite grip and encouraging tug play, made with five layers of microfiber leather and a handle.

• Five-layer microfiber leather — creates the bite surface for training and tug games.
• Stuffless design with a squeaker — adds sound and interest to interactive play.
• Handle for the handler — makes it possible to hold the tug while a dog bites and pulls.
• Designed for small and medium dogs — suits training, sport and everyday play.
• For supervised play, not chewing — helps owners use the tug within its intended purpose.

This tug gives dogs and handlers a shared activity for training and exercise, from puppy play to canine sport. Use it to practise a controlled bite, retrieve work or tug games indoors or outdoors. The squeak adds an engaging element to everyday play, which is designed to relieve boredom and help prevent stress-related behaviors such as destructive chewing.

What training and play activities is this tug made for?

The Dewonch tug supports bite-grip development, retrieve training and prey-drive activities. Its bite surface can be used in tug-of-war and fetch, giving dogs a way to practise skills through interactive play. For teething puppies, tug and fetch provide mental and physical activity.

• Use it for basic life-skills practice and dog sport.
• Attach it to a spring pole as a biting surface, or use it as a lure with a flirt pole.
• It can also be used for agility training and weight pulling.

Which dogs and settings is the tug suited to?

The Dewonch bite tug is intended for small and medium dogs and can be used for indoor or outdoor play. Five layers of microfiber leather form the tug’s surface, while the smooth leather is designed to encourage a firm bite grip. The stitched handle gives the handler a place to hold while the dog bites and pulls.

• Suitable for puppy play as well as training and sport activities.
• The handle is for the handler to hold, not for the dog to bite.
• Good to know: the tug is not intended as a chew toy, particularly for dogs that chew heavily.

How should I use the squeaky tug safely?

Use the Dewonch tug for supervised interactive play, then put it away rather than leaving it for chewing. The toy is made for biting and pulling during a game; it is not designed for a dog to chew on independently. Supervision is especially important during tug play, and the handles should remain in the handler’s hands.

• Keep play focused on tugging, fetch or training rather than chewing.
• Choose this tug for supervised play, not as an unsupervised chew item.

This toy is best suited to handlers of small and medium dogs who want a stuffless tug for bite-grip practice, retrieve work and supervised play. Its five-layer microfiber leather bite surface and handler-held handle make it a training and play tug, rather than a chew toy.
