When a small pet is outdoors, a sudden encounter with an aggressive animal or bird of prey can leave little time to respond. This harness is designed to help slow or prevent an attack and give you time to react during walks, training, hikes, or camping. Its protective panels and removable spikes focus on areas commonly targeted in an attack.

How does the CoyoteVest help protect a small dog?

The genuine DuPont Kevlar reinforcement in the side panels is stab-resistant against sharp canine teeth and the claws or talons of birds of prey. The attached spike strips add another protective barrier; their hard plastic points are made to hurt an aggressor that bites them with enough pressure, while being safe to handle and designed not to hurt your pet.

• The three spike strips include one for the neck and two for the back.
• Velcro patches let you attach or remove the strips.
• The vest is designed for protection from aggressive animals, including coyotes, and birds of prey such as hawks.

What features support walks and other outdoor activities?

The harness combines adjustable fit features with visibility and weather-related details for outdoor use. Its reflective features help make your dog more visible at night, and the waterproof material is intended for all-weather wear. No metal parts are used, so the components will not rust.

• A D-ring provides a point to connect and quickly release a leash.
• The collar and waist belt adjust to accommodate different dog shapes and sizes.

How do I choose the X-Small fit?

Measure your standing dog in a straight line from the front shoulder to the point where the tail begins, without curving the tape. If the measurement leaves you uncertain between sizes, choose the smaller size. This Texas Tan version is X-Small.

• Keep your dog standing rather than sitting while measuring.
• Measure along the back in a straight line; do not follow the body’s curve.

This harness suits small dogs and pets accompanying their people on walks, training sessions, hikes, or camping trips, especially when added protection from animal encounters is desired. Its X-Small fit, adjustable collar and waist belt, reinforced side panels, and removable spike strips make it an outdoor protective vest with fit guidance based on your pet’s back length.
