CoyoteVest SpikeVest Dog Vest, XXS Fluorescent Orange with Removable Spikes

CoyoteVest SpikeVest is a fluorescent-orange XXS dog vest designed to help protect dogs during surprise attacks, with puncture-resistant Cordura fabric and removable spikes.

• Puncture-resistant Cordura fabric — adds a protective layer against sharp canine teeth.
• Removable hard-plastic spikes — provide coverage at the neck and along two strips on the back.
• Two wide Velcro belts — fasten the vest around your dog’s body.
• Reflective details and a leash D-ring — support visibility and leash attachment.
• Made in the USA; water-repellent and metal-free — suits outdoor use without metal parts that can rust.

For walks and time outdoors where coyotes or aggressive dogs may be a concern, SpikeVest adds a physical barrier to your dog’s body. Its purpose is to help slow down or prevent a surprise attack, giving you time to react before a serious injury occurs. It is protective gear, not a guarantee against injury.

How does the SpikeVest help protect my dog?

The puncture-resistant Cordura vest and removable spikes are designed to help guard against sharp canine teeth. The spike pieces are made of very hard plastic, making them safe to handle while providing a spiked outer surface.

• The vest includes neck spikes and two strips of spikes for the back.
• Attach or remove the spikes with their Velcro fastening.
• SpikeVest closes with two wide belts and Velcro; the CoyoteVest uses nylon straps with snap buckles instead.

How do I choose the XXS size?

Measure your standing dog from the front shoulder to the start of the tail, keeping the tape straight rather than following the body’s curve. Compare your measurement with the sizing chart before choosing a size.

• Take the measurement while your dog is standing, not sitting.
• If you remain uncertain after measuring, choose the smaller size.

Correct measurement helps you choose a fit based on your dog’s body length rather than an estimate. The product is XXS; use the sizing chart and the stated measuring method to assess whether that size is appropriate for your dog.

What features are included, and how do I care for the vest?

The vest has reflective features and a D-ring for connecting a leash. Its water-repellent construction is intended for outdoor wear, and the metal-free design avoids rusting metal components.

• Hand wash with mild detergent.
• Air dry in the shade.
• The fluorescent-orange color and reflective details help make your dog more visible at night.

CoyoteVest SpikeVest is suited to owners seeking a spiked, leash-ready vest for a dog that measures appropriately for XXS and may encounter coyotes or aggressive dogs outdoors. Its Cordura body, removable spikes, reflective details, and Velcro-belt closure bring those protective and visibility features together in one vest.
