CoyoteVest SpikeVest Dog Harness, Medium Royal Blue with Removable Spikes

The CoyoteVest SpikeVest is a Royal Blue dog harness designed to help slow or prevent a surprise attack, with puncture-resistant Cordura fabric and removable spikes for neck and back coverage.

• Puncture-resistant Cordura fabric — adds a protective layer against sharp canine teeth.
• Removable spikes — provide coverage at the neck and along two strips on the back.
• Two wide Velcro belts — secure the SpikeVest around your dog’s body.
• Leash D-ring and reflective features — connect a leash and help make your dog more visible at night.
• Water-repellent, metal-free construction — resists water and avoids rusting metal parts.

The SpikeVest is made for dog owners who want an added layer of protection when walking or spending time outdoors in areas where coyotes or aggressive dogs may pose a risk. Its purpose is to help slow or prevent a surprise attack and give you time to react before a serious injury occurs. It is protective gear, not a guarantee against injury.

How is the SpikeVest designed to protect a dog?

The vest combines puncture-resistant Cordura fabric with removable spikes to cover vulnerable areas. The fabric is described as stab-resistant and made to withstand sharp canine teeth from coyotes and aggressive dogs. The very hard plastic spikes attach with Velcro, so they can be added or removed as needed; the spikes are also identified as chrome spikes.

• Neck spikes and two strips of spikes for the back are included.
• The SpikeVest uses two wide Velcro belts, unlike the CoyoteVest’s nylon straps and snap buckles.

What features help with walks and outdoor use?

A D-ring on the vest provides a point to connect a leash, while reflective features help make your dog more visible at night. The water-repellent vest contains no metal, so its components do not rust.

• Hand wash with mild detergent.
• Air dry in the shade.

How do I choose the right SpikeVest size?

This listing is for the medium size in Royal Blue, and measuring your dog before choosing a size helps you select a suitable fit. Have your dog stand, then measure in a straight line from the front shoulder to the start of the tail without curving the tape. Use the sizing guide before purchasing; if you remain unsure after measuring, choose the smaller size.

• Measure while your dog is standing, not sitting.
• Compare the shoulder-to-tail measurement with the sizing chart.

The medium Royal Blue SpikeVest suits dog owners looking for a leash-ready vest with removable neck and back spikes, reflective details, and a water-repellent, metal-free design. It is intended to add time to react during a surprise encounter, rather than guarantee that injury can be prevented.
