This basket muzzle is made for large dogs, including Pitbulls and Amstaffs, when you need a muzzle for everyday handling situations. Measuring your dog’s snout before choosing the size helps you compare your dog’s proportions with the fit measurements.

What size snout does this muzzle fit?

BRONZEDOG Pitbull Wire Basket Muzzle is sized for a snout measuring 12 inches (30.48 cm) in girth and 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in length. Measure around the widest part of the snout for girth, and from its base to its tip for length; use the product’s measuring-tips video as a guide. The brown muzzle has four adjustable straps to help fit it securely.

• Two side straps: 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) long, with three adjustment holes each.
• Forehead strap: 9 1/2 inches (24.13 cm) long, with six holes.
• Around-head strap: 25 inches (63.5 cm) long, with ten adjustment holes.

Can a dog pant, drink and lick its nose while wearing it?

Yes, BRONZEDOG’s basket shape allows panting, drinking water and unrestricted nose licking. The open wire construction allows air through the muzzle, while the design is intended to prevent unwanted behaviors such as barking and chewing. It provides a way to manage behavior during walks, training, veterinary visits and grooming.

• Basket-style construction rather than a closed muzzle shape.
• Designed for use during supervised handling activities.

What materials and padding does the muzzle use?

BRONZEDOG Pitbull Wire Basket Muzzle combines a stainless steel basket with leather straps and a soft neoprene pad over the nose. The nose pad is 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide, and the leather straps are 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) wide. The metal is described as non-toxic, and the adjustable straps secure the muzzle around the head, sides and nose.

• Brown color.
• Four adjustable straps for fitting.

This muzzle suits large dogs whose snout measurements match the specified girth and length, and owners who need a basket style for walks, training, vet visits or grooming. Its stainless steel basket, padded nose area and adjustable leather straps make it a fit-focused option for those situations.
