BARKLESS Dog Rear Leg Sleeve, Size L, Adjustable Breathable Post-Surgery Recovery Cover

BARKLESS Single Dog Rear Leg Sleeve is an adjustable recovery garment designed to cover and protect one hind leg from licking, scratching, dirt, and abrasions, with a fit designed for dogs with leg heights of 13–14.5 inches (33.0–36.8 cm).

• Adjustable neck, chest, and rear-leg straps — customize the fit and help keep the sleeve in place.
• Single hind-leg coverage with paws left uncovered — cover the affected area while allowing natural movement.
• Back strap with a collar loop and quick-release buckle — help limit slipping and make dressing and wound checks easier.
• Lightweight, elastic, breathable fabric — provide gentle coverage for recovery and everyday activities.
• Size L fits the stated leg-height, back-length, and neck-circumference ranges — compare your dog’s measurements before choosing this size.

After surgery or when a hind-leg area needs protection, dogs may lick or scratch the site and get dirt on it. This sleeve is made to cover one rear leg while leaving the paw free, so dogs can move, eat, play, and rest with the garment on. It is intended for supervised wear and regular checks of the fit and covered skin.

What does the BARKLESS rear leg sleeve protect?

The BARKLESS dog rear leg sleeve covers one hind leg to help shield the area from licking, scratching, mud, dirt, and abrasions. Its fitted coverage is intended to keep a wound covered during ordinary activities without covering the paw. The breathable fabric provides gentle coverage and is designed to help support recovery.

• For one hind leg; suitable for either the left or right side.
• The paw remains uncovered to allow movement.
• Made for post-surgery recovery and protection of the covered leg area.

How does the sleeve stay in place?

Adjustable straps around the neck, chest, and rear legs let you customize the fit, while a back strap holds the garment in position. A loop at the strap end connects to the dog’s collar, and a quick-release buckle makes it easier to put on or remove the sleeve for wound inspection and care. Check the fit after dressing your dog; a poorly adjusted garment can slip, particularly during walking or running.

• Adjust the straps for a secure fit before activity.
• Check the garment’s position and cleanliness regularly.
• Watch your dog closely during the first few hours; anxious dogs or dogs that chew may try to bite the sleeve.

Which dogs fit the BARKLESS size L sleeve?

Size L is intended for large dogs with a leg height of 13–14.5 inches (33.0–36.8 cm), a back length of 21.75–27.5 inches (55.2–69.9 cm), and a neck circumference of 16.5–21.5 inches (41.9–54.6 cm). Measure your dog against all three ranges before selecting this size. If the sleeve is too long, its end can be rolled up or trimmed with scissors.

• Compare leg height, back length, and neck circumference with the size L ranges.
• Use the sizing instructional video to help choose the sleeve size.
• A correct adjustment is important for keeping the garment from slipping.

How should I use and clean the sleeve?

Keep each wear period to no more than 6 hours, then remove the garment to let the skin breathe and inspect the covered area for irritation. Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle, and make sure the sleeve is completely dry before using it again. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.

• Reusable and machine washable.
• Gentle machine cycle or hand washing.
• Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.

The BARKLESS sleeve is suited to dog owners looking for adjustable, single-leg coverage during supervised post-surgery recovery or protection from licking and scratching. It is designed to leave the paw uncovered, and the size L fit is based on the stated leg-height, back-length, and neck measurements.
