What does the Aqueon cartridge filter from aquarium water?

Aqueon Medium Replacement Filter Cartridges combine dense floss with activated carbon to support aquarium filtration. The floss helps remove particles and debris, while activated carbon removes toxins, odors, and discoloration. The carbon is distributed evenly through Aqueon’s patented cartridge design.

• High-quality activated carbon helps keep water clean.
• The cartridge’s dual-sided construction brings floss and carbon together in one replacement.

How many cartridges are included in the medium pack?

The Aqueon Medium Replacement Filter Cartridge pack contains 24 cartridges, divided between two boxes of 12. This quantity gives aquarium keepers multiple replacement cartridges for ongoing filter maintenance. The medium designation identifies the cartridge size; choose this version when a medium Aqueon replacement cartridge is the one required for your setup.

• Two boxes are included in the pack.
• Each box contains 12 cartridges.

How do you install and replace an Aqueon cartridge?

Rinse the Aqueon Medium Replacement Filter Cartridge under cold water, then install it with the “FRONT” orientation tab facing the correct way. For optimal performance, replace the cartridge approximately every 4 weeks. This routine gives you a clear interval for planning filter-media changes.

• Use cold water for the pre-installation rinse.
• Follow the printed “FRONT” tab to orient the cartridge.

These cartridges suit aquarium owners seeking medium replacement media with dense floss and activated carbon, plus a straightforward rinse-and-install routine. Their 24-count pack and approximately four-week replacement guidance make them a practical choice for planned aquarium filter maintenance.
