AquaMiracle 10W In-Line U-V Clarifier is an external aquarium water clarifier designed to help clear green and cloudy water, using a 254 nm U-V-C lamp and a spiral-flow chamber.
Green or cloudy aquarium water can make it harder to enjoy a clear view of the tank. This 10W clarifier is made for in-line use with aquarium circulation equipment, so water passes through the unit as part of the setup rather than requiring the lamp to sit exposed in the aquarium. Its compact in-line form fits into the equipment arrangement without crowding the aquarium itself. The unit is for external use only and must not be submerged.
The 254 nm U-V-C lamp works on algae cells as water flows through the clarifier. U-V-C light disrupts the cells’ DNA and stops them reproducing, helping address green water at its source. The spiral path carries water around the lamp to extend contact time compared with a straight-flow design. Visible clarification may take up to 10 days, depending on tank conditions; the result develops over time rather than being an instant change.
Select 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours with one press of the SET controller. The clarifier repeats the selected cycle automatically each day, so a separate timer is not needed. The suggested schedule ranges from 4 hours for preventive maintenance to 24 hours for green-water outbreaks; 24-hour operation has a maximum duration of 48–72 hours.
The clarifier connects in-line to a canister filter or water pump using the included fittings, hose clamps, and mounting cups. Before choosing a connection, compare your hose’s inside diameter with the supported sizes: 1/2 in (12.7 mm), 5/8 in (15.875 mm), or 3/4 in (19.05 mm). This connection is for an external setup; keep the clarifier out of the aquarium water.
The lamp sits inside a sealed chamber that blocks U-V light from escaping, protecting eyes and fish. A built-in viewing window lets you check whether the lamp is on without opening the unit. For upkeep, the quartz sleeve can be cleaned without tools, and the bulb can be replaced in minutes.
AquaMiracle 10W In-Line U-V Clarifier suits aquarium owners who want to address green or cloudy water through their existing canister filter or water pump, with selectable daily cycles and an externally mounted lamp chamber. It is intended for in-line external use, not submersion, and connects to hoses with one of the three supported inside diameters.
