This vest is made for dogs that need extra coverage outdoors and for owners who want a step-in style, an easy-to-use closure, and a cut that leaves room for toileting.

What weather and coverage is the Gooby vest made for?

The Gooby Fashion Vest Dog Jacket is made to provide extra warmth and coverage in cold and rainy weather. Its outer layer is water resistant, and the inner layer is soft and warm. The solid quilted bomber style adds coverage for small dogs that need another layer when the weather turns cold. The violet color gives the jacket a distinct look while keeping the design focused on practical outdoor wear.

Designed for cold-weather coverage.

Water-resistant outer layer for rainy conditions.

Soft, warm inner layer for added comfort.

How do I choose a size for my dog?

Choose a size using your dog’s chest measurement, taken around the widest part of the chest. The jacket’s stretchable fabric and knitted bottom opening are designed to accommodate different shapes, including broad-chested dogs such as French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers. Gooby’s largest size fits dogs up to 35 lb (15.9 kg), depending on body shape; that upper weight applies to the largest size, not every size. If your dog falls between sizes, size up.

Measure the widest part of the chest before choosing.

Use chest circumference as the sizing guide.

Allow for differences in body shape when considering weight.

How does the jacket go on, and can it attach to a leash?

The Gooby vest is designed to be put on by stepping your dog into it and fastening the top zipper. This step-in method can suit dogs that are uncomfortable with clothing pulled over their heads. A guard along the back of the zipper helps prevent fur from getting caught as you close it. Two D-rings on the back can be used to attach a leash, so a separate harness is not needed for short walks. For safety, limit leash use with the D-rings if your dog pulls or if you are planning a long walk.

Top zipper closure for putting the vest on and taking it off.

Back zipper guard helps keep hair clear of the closure.

Back D-rings are intended for short walks, not pulling or long walks.

Does the cut leave room for bathroom breaks?

Yes. The bottom opening is cut to let a dog urinate without soiling the vest, and the stretchy knit helps the opening accommodate different body shapes. This design means the jacket can stay on during a bathroom break rather than needing to be removed first.

Lower opening allows room for urination.

Stretchy knit construction allows the opening to expand.

This violet, small-size vest suits owners looking for a step-in dog coat for cold or rainy outings, particularly when their dog needs additional coverage or is sensitive to pullover apparel. Its chest-based sizing, bathroom-friendly cut, and back leash rings make it a practical choice for short walks and everyday outdoor wear, with leash use kept to short walks for dogs that do not pull.

FAQ

Q: How should I choose a size for the Gooby Fashion Vest Dog Jacket?

A: Measure around your dog’s widest chest area and use that circumference to choose a size.
