This bomber-style vest is made for small dogs and combines a warm inner layer with an outer layer that resists water. Its step-in design suits dogs that are excited by getting dressed or sensitive to pullover clothing, while the lower opening is cut to allow urination without removing the jacket.

What kind of weather is the Gooby Fashion Vest made for?

The Gooby Fashion Vest is designed to provide warmth and coverage in cold and rainy weather. Its quilted construction forms the jacket’s outer body, with a water-resistant exterior and a soft, warm lining on the inside. Water resistance is not the same as a claim of waterproofing, so the jacket is best understood as an added layer for wet-weather conditions rather than a guarantee of complete dryness.

Bomber-vest style offers coverage for small dogs that need an additional layer in cold weather.

Violet color gives the jacket a distinct, solid-color look.

How do I choose the right size for my dog?

For the Large size, compare your dog’s chest circumference with the fit you need; the jacket is intended for dogs up to 35 lb (15.9 kg), with fit also depending on body shape. Measure around the widest part of the chest, and choose the larger size when your dog falls between sizes. Weight alone may not determine fit, because dogs with the same weight can have different proportions.

The stretchable fabric and expandable knit construction are designed to accommodate varied shapes, including broad-chested dogs such as French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers. The size guidance is based on chest fit, so use the widest chest measurement when deciding whether the Large size is suitable for your dog.

Allow for your dog’s body shape as well as weight when choosing a size.

Size up if your dog measures between sizes.

How does the vest fit, and can my dog use the bathroom while wearing it?

The Gooby Fashion Vest uses a step-in fit: your dog steps into the vest, then you close it along the top. The zipper guard on the back helps prevent hair from catching in the zipper, and a top button also makes the jacket easier to put on. The bottom opening is designed to stay clear during bathroom breaks, so your dog can urinate without soiling the vest or needing to change out of it.

A stretchy knitted panel at the bottom allows the opening to expand with your dog’s shape. This construction is intended to make the fit more accommodating while leaving room for normal movement and bathroom use.

Machine washable for routine garment care.

The bottom opening is cut to help keep the vest clear during urination.

Can the back rings be used to attach a leash?

Yes. The two D-rings on the back of the Gooby Fashion Vest let you attach a leash for short walks without putting a separate harness over the jacket. They provide an additional walking attachment, but the vest is not intended for extended walks or for dogs that pull strongly; limit leash use in those situations.

Both leash rings are positioned on the back of the vest.

Use the attachment for short walks, with the stated limits in mind.

The Gooby Fashion Vest is suited to small dogs that need an extra layer for cold or rainy conditions, including dogs that benefit from a step-in garment and an accommodating lower opening. It is also a practical choice for short walks where the back D-rings can serve as the leash attachment. Its Large size is guided by chest circumference and fits dogs up to 35 lb (15.9 kg), depending on body shape.

FAQ

Q: What size dog does the Gooby Fashion Vest fit?

A: The Gooby Fashion Vest in Large fits dogs up to 35 lb (15.9 kg), depending on body shape.
